Why you should donate:
ARF (Humane Society of Jackson County) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our status as a tax-exempt public charity can be verified on Guidestar and the IRS. Our 501(c)3 number is 56-1575881. We only have one part-time paid staff member and all other members volunteer their time to help animals and pet owners in our community.
Your contributions are needed and truly appreciated. ARF spends an average of $200 per animal on rescues, and sometimes considerably more if the animal is sick, neglected, heart worm positive, or injured when it comes into our care. We only charge $100 for most adoptions. Your donation helps ARF rescue dogs and cats that are injured, sick, starving, or otherwise neglected.
ARF also subsidizes spay and neuter by providing coupons for people needing assistance or those who rescue multiple animals. Your donations help us recover these costs as well.
Your contributions also pay for everyday needs: Food, medicine, cleaning supplies, containment, transport to no-kill shelters.
